"Let's tell the world what you can do." If nobody knows about it, does a business exist? Not for long! You need to tell people who you are, where you are and what you can do for them. Together, "let's tell the world what you can do" with your web site.
Even people down the street may find you on the web without knowing that you existed before they saw you on the web. It's the best advertising for the investment. Other advertising costs twice as much for one fifth of the impact and one tenth the time exposure. The web site provides lots of information about your company, while ads in other forms provide very little.
Even if your business is down the street, many of your customers will be using an Internet search to find products and services close to them.
The web site is a permanent promotional tool rather than one-time ads and it provides your customers with easy access to your company whenever they need it. They can get fast and complete answers to their questions, at their convenience.

- Who will do the work on my web site and will I have personal contact with that person?
Pictured here is Gary Ritner, your technical web developer. He will work with you in person, by phone, by email and with samples online to make the site what you want it to be. Gary has many years of experience as a web site manager. Included in this packet are some samples of the web sites of some of his current clients online. Gary started and has managed the Minnesota United Methodist Church web site for the last ten years and he has also managed an independent web development business for many years. Your project will have high priority. He usually fulfills requests for creation of pages and features and changes within 48 hours. Gary will consult with Pam Armstrong on many design and artistic issues to be sure that you have a site that provides maximum positive impact for your potential clients.
- What is it likely to cost me for my web site for one year?
In the first thirty days, we will work with you to set up your web site. All the work and costs to get you on the web with a unique web address with your company name will cost $900. If you want to make changes after the setup period of thirty days, they can be made at a cost of $40 an hour. Small changes in details are likely to be accomplished in fifteen minutes for only $10. Most sites are set up and only a few changes are made after that with the cost for one year being less than $1,000.
- What is it likely to cost me for my web site after one year?
In the second year, hosting and management fees with no changes will cost $300. Changes can be made at a cost of $40 an hour. Small changes in details are likely to be accomplished in fifteen minutes for only $10. Most sites will cost $300 in the second year and following years.
- How long does my contract last and what happens after that?
The contract is for one year, but the domain registration, hosting and hosting management fee for the second year will be $300 and a contract will be signed for another year at that time.
- How will photos be placed on my web site?
You can provide photos for SaintSavers to scan, crop and enhance for your web site. You can have SaintSavers come to your location and take digital pictures during the setup period without additional charges.
- How will text be placed on my web site?
You should provide text in a digital format either on disk or by email to gary@garyritner.org. If you provide handwritten text or a typed paper format instead of a digital format, additional charges will be assessed at $40 an hour for any typing work that takes more than one hour.
- Will I have email addresses from my domain name?
Yes, you can have as many email addresses as you need with your domain name, for example: yourname@yourcompany.com.
- What email features are included in my package?
You can have email forwarded to any address, automatic responses to those who send email to you and web or Outlook Express access to your email accounts.
- Could I make changes on my web pages without fees and charges by SaintSavers?
Yes, you can make changes on your web pages with a web interface that does not require you to know html language. If you need formatting help, SaintSavers can give you as much help as you need. SaintSavers will train you to use this web interface. This web editing interface is handy and economical for those who want to make frequent changes.
- If I chose to have someone else do my web site after the first-year contract expires, can I keep my domain and have someone else administer my web site?
Yes, you can hand over the administration of your web site to someone else at any time after the contract expires. You can keep your domain name and transfer it to another web host at any time after the contract expires.
- How will search engines find my site?
SaintSavers will assist you to develop a thirty-word description as well as fifty phrases so that search engines can find your web site and make it easily available to those users searching for what you have to offer. SaintSavers will register your site with some of the most popular search engines and directories.
- Can you show me the contract?
Contract Between Your Company (the Client) and SaintSavers Incorporated
Client Name: (Your Company)
Authorization. The above-named Client (hereinafter referred to as "Client") is
engaging SaintSavers Incorporated as an independent contractor for the specific purpose of
creating World Wide Web pages and features as directed by the Client
Copyrights and Trademarks. The Client unconditionally guarantees that any
elements of text, graphics, photos, designs, trademarks, or other artwork
furnished to SaintSavers Incorporated for inclusion in the Web Design Package are owned by the
Client, or that the Client has permission from the rightful owner to use each
of these elements, and will hold harmless, protect, indemnify and defend SaintSavers Incorporated from any liability (including attorney’s fees and court costs), including
any claim or suit, threatened or actual, arising from the use of such elements
furnished by the Client.
SaintSavers Incorporated unconditionally guarantees that any
elements of code, programs, text, graphics, photos, designs, trademarks, or other artwork
furnished to the Client for inclusion in the Web Design Package are owned by the
Client, or that the Client has permission from the rightful owner to use each
of these elements, and will hold harmless, protect, indemnify and defend the Client from any liability (including attorney’s fees and court costs), including
any claim or suit, threatened or actual, arising from the use of such elements
furnished by the Client.
Electronic Commerce Laws. The Client agrees that the Client is solely
responsible for complying with any laws, taxes, and tariffs applicable in any
way to the Web Design Package or any other services contemplated herein, and
will hold harmless, protect, and defend SaintSavers Incorporated from any claim, suit, penalty,
tax, fine, penalty, or tariff arising from the Client's exercise of Internet
electronic commerce and/or any failure to comply with any such laws, taxes, and
tariffs.
Payment Schedule. $300 will be paid to SaintSavers Incorporated at the signing of the contract. The balance of $600 will be due thirty days after the signing of the contract. This price is for up to ten pages. Prices for additional pages are negotiable.
Thirty-one days after the signing of the contract, changes will be made to the web site at the request of the client at the rate of $40 per hour. Time can be broken down into quarter hour increments at $10 per quarter hour. Billing can be quarterly or twice a year.
Legal Notice. Notwithstanding anything to the contrary contained in this
contract, SaintSavers Incorporated does not warrant that the functions contained in the Web
Design Package will be uninterrupted or error-free. The entire risk as to the
quality and performance of the Web Design Package is with the Client. In no
event will SaintSavers Inc. be liable to the Client or any third party for any damages,
including, but not limited to, service interruptions caused by nature, the
Hosting Service or any other circumstances beyond the reasonable control of SaintSavers Incorporated, any
lost profits, lost savings or other incidental, consequential, punitive, or
special damages arising out of the operation of or inability to operate this
Web Design Package, failure of any service provider, of any telecommunications
carrier, of the internet backbone, of any internet servers, your or your site
visitor's computer or internet software, even if the Client has been advised of
the possibility of such damages.
This agreement constitutes the sole agreement between SaintSavers Incorporated
and the Client regarding this Web Design Package. Any additional work not
specified in this contract or any other amendment or modification to this
contract must be authorized by a written request signed by both Client and SaintSavers Incorporated and attached to this contract.
The undersigned hereby agree to the terms, conditions and stipulations of this
agreement on behalf of his or her organization, business or self.
